Come and meet the history of the castle and the life story of its current owners – Barton-Dobenin Family through a tour of unique castle interiors.

The interiors were renovated during 1909-1912 by well-known Slovak architect Dusan Jurkovic. He strived for keeping the most of its historical features and combined them with new and modern things including the technical conveniences of the time (central heating system, water piping, electricity, telephones) The bathrooms were added and two lifts installed – home and dumbwaiter lifts. In the 20′s and the 30′s of the 20th century, architect Pavel Janak and other top Czech artists of the time (Kysela, Teinitzerova, Johnova) followed the work of Jurkovic.. Thanks to these adaptations, the castle of Nove Mesto became a unique representative residence for a permanent and comfortable living.

Tour and look through the Baroque and Renaissance styled interiors which are furnished and modernised in Art-Nouveau, Cubism, Art Deco and Functionalism styles.

In 2010, a postage stamp of Nove Mesto castle was issued.
